More about the business and how it got started : 

” My baking journey started back in 2012 when my hometown in Compostela Valley, Southern Mindanao was hit by a typhoon. I was finding ways to raise funds to help the victims including my very own family who were affected back there.

My husband and friends then suggested baking and selling cookies to raise funds for the victims.It took much dough and many trials to get it just right. The cookie sales sold out and we managed to raise enough funds for the donations!

The all time favourites are definitely the NY series which are crispy on the outside, soft, chewy and bursting with flavours on the inside. They are not too sweet and have the perfect balance.

My personal favourite would be the NY Red Velvet with Cream Cheese. I just love how cream cheese balances the sweetness and makes the overall taste so satisfyingly good.

I have always believed that it’s not possible to always have things go your way all the time. The more important things are to realise that you have put in your best and gave it your all. If things are tough, you just have to keep your head up, persevere and keep going!

I much rather enjoy the journey and always improve myself through setbacks and the occasional hiccups rather than wallow and feel defeated. It also helps to have a good support base from family and friends to turn to when you need that extra nudge or encouragement!

Moving forward, I want to create a successful business and brand that promotes my delicious homestyle bakes at an affordable cost. I want to be able to learn new ways to reach out to new customers and also see if there are ways to bring this home business to another level!

As I am working towards those goals, I am also mindful to keep on improving and perfecting my recipes and develop more interesting and yet delectable flavours for my customers.

To all aspiring business owners, learn to take on new experiences and not turn away from change. There will be good and bad days and you have to take it all in your stride. Don’t be afraid to ask questions if you don’t have the answers.

But most of all, stay happy, positive and passionate and keep hustling!”
