Sweetie’s D’Like was first launched in June 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their best sellers are :
1. Nutella Flower Pod (crunchy cookies with a pipe of Nutella)
2. Choc Chipkies (chocolate chip cookies)
3. Fluffy Cuppies (soft and fluffy cupcakes with a pipe of Nutella)
4. Oreo Batik Cake (layered biscuit with chocolate sauce topped with oreos)
5. Brownies & Whitnies (white chocolate brownies)
6. Choc Moist Cake (chocolate cake topped with chocolate ganache)
7. Pandan Gula Melaka Cake (pandan cake with hints of gula melaka bits and cream)

About the owner :

“My two girls, aged 13 and 15 mentioned about being a baker when they grow up so I suggested to introduce them to home based business where they can learn from scratch. From ingredients selection, baking, hygiene, marketing, sales and importantly customer service. I believe this is a good platform for them to start learning about business at a young age should they inspire to be an entrepreneur in the future.”

Challenges:
Most HBB selling desserts would agree that the number of followers is something we struggle during the initial stage especially if you are selling a similar product. e.g. brownies. What makes your brownies special than the one with thousands of followers? How do you make your desserts stand out in terms of being presentable as well as delicious? Before you set-up a business, start with the intention, decide why you want to set it up in the first place, what do you want to achieve from it.

As for me, it is to make our desserts affordable for everyone to enjoy. We do not want price to be of a factor where Customers felt that it is out of their budget even for own consumption or as a gift to their loved ones. The ability to fulfil the orders from my repeated customers is something I feel I have gained their trust.

Set up a business because it is Sunnah. Do everything because of Allah. This is something I always believe in. “
